A Stolen Knight’s Kiss

Melissa Oliver

If you're looking for a fast-paced romance adventure to while away a few hours, you've found it!

When expert thief Eva, in her usual disguise as a boy, steals a pouch from Crown Knight, Nicholas d'Amberly without him realising it, she unleashes a tumultuous chain of events that sees her and her friend thrown into a political game of life and death.

Convinced that her mentor, Simon the Rook, was killed by a Crown Knight, she bears a grudge that she finds hard to overcome when she has no choice but to work with Nicholas and his fellow Knights Fortitude.

But then she discovers more about this man who is estranged from his family and only lives for duty and service to the king.

Nicholas, meanwhile, is trying to uncover a plot against the king's life, and that of his liege lord, Hubert de  Burgh. But despite Eva stealing from him, he develops a strong sense of protection for the girl, who is anything but a fair maiden. She slouches like a man, wolfs down her food, and laughs out loud. Everything a lady of station doesn't do. But as they pursue a secret group the knights suspect of treason, he begins to finds the young thief who, despite her lowly class can speak French fluently, intriguing...

A Stolen Knight's Kiss is a fun romance adventure that takes you from dingy taverns to the king's court. The setting and language used befits the story, while the focus remains on the growing attachment between Eva and Nicholas who both have to overcome their troubled past to head into a happier future. However, not all mysteries are resolved as there is a third part in this series, which I'm looking forward to reading when it's available.

A fabulous fun read for those dark autumn nights...

Blurb:

Captured by a knight…

Rescued by his kiss!

When orphan Eva loses the father-figure who’d protected her on the streets of London, she suspects the Knights of Fortitude. But when she steals information from them, she’s caught by brooding knight Nicholas.

Learning he might not be the villain after all, she puts her distrust aside to work with him, yet Eva must stay focussed – and not get distracted when they share a stolen kiss!
